Buick and Alexa Partner Up for Ad Campaign

GM recently announced that it would be partnering with Amazon to develop an exciting built-in Amazon Alexa™ feature. This will be included in a range of late 2020 Buick models, letting drivers stay better connected than ever before. Whether you want the latest weather updates or hands-free entertainment, Amazon Alexa™ will be a truly convenient feature.

The new partnership is set to coincide with the 2021 Buick Envision promotion, as vehicles such as the Encore GX, Enclave, Regal, and Lacrosse are already Alexa™-compatible. Drivers behind the wheel of models like the Encore GX will be able to get directions, play music, and even order goods online using the Alexa™-powered Amazon platform.

“Getting people to think differently about Buick is a motivation behind everything we do,” said Kate Hrabovksy, the Buick Media Operations Manager. “We are a brand that’s not afraid to take risks and have some fun.”

This voice-driven device also comes with a custom shopping “utterance” from Alexa™, which is a special phrase that drivers can use to learn more about their vehicle. For example, you can say, “Alexa™, tell me more about Buick SUVs,” in order to hear more about Buick features and models. This is the first time Amazon has given an automaker this kind of custom “utterance,” which is just one of many highlights that come with the GM and Amazon partnership.
